First step – Preparing the banana peel.

Rinse the banana peel thoroughly with water to remove any surface dirt or pesticides. Cut both ends of the banana peel and discard.

Cut the remaining peel into small chunks. You can skip this step if you are using dried skin.

Second step – Boil it.

 Add the skin to a pot with 2 cups of water. Add a cinnamon stick or star anise to the pot for added flavor.

Bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for about 10 minutes.

Remove from heat and strain the tea into a cup, discarding the banana peel and cinnamon stick.
